76ers Trade for No. 1 Pick in 2017 NBA Draft in Deal with Celtics

The Boston Celtics announced today that they have acquired the third overall selection of the 2017 NBA Draft and the favorably. 3 pick in 2017 Draft Future first-round pick in either 2018 or 2019 Draft.

The Celtics will get the No. 3 pick and one future first-rounder from Philadelphia in exchange for the No. 1 overall pick, according to a person familiar with the deal who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been announced.

The move gives the Celtics a chance to add a potential franchise-changing player, while the 76ers add another high-upside prospect to their young core.
