Le Pen's National Rally Makes Significant Gains
Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally (RN) party has emerged as the top performer in France in the European Parliament elections, according to exit polls released late on Sunday.
The RN, previously known as the National Front, is projected to have won 32% of the vote, a significant increase from the 22% it received in the 2019 European elections. This represents a gain of 10 percentage points and places the RN comfortably ahead of President Emmanuel Macron's centrist coalition, which is estimated to have won 24% of the vote.
